6 Denim Styles You Need

During the beginning of the pandemic, wearing jeans for the entire day just seemed criminal. Almost everyone opted to wear their comfy sweats for their zoom calls, and I think we can all agree it was the best decision ever! Now that we're all back to our normal in-person routines, I cherish those few months where I could get away with wearing slippers and pajama pants while I worked from home or ran errands, without any judgment. But ladies, it’s time to hop back on the fashion train! We’re kicking off Spring 2022 in style and… in jeans!
Denim trends seem to change so fast. Who can keep up with the quick trends? What's hot one season is considered an atrocity the next. I know we all have that pair of low-rise skinny jeans boxed away in the attic. Paris Hilton circa 2003 would be ashamed! Low-rise skinnies might be a fleeting trend, but there are so many styles that will withstand the test of fashion time.
We’ll give you a rundown of some must-have denim styles, and where you can find the perfect pair for you!

1. High Rise Straight Leg

Starting with my favorite style by far is the High Rise Straight Jeans. This style is incredibly flattering on all figures. This style is a hybrid of skinny and boyfriend styles. High rise sucks everything in and hits the waist in the perfect spot to make your silhouette look amazing. Straight jeans make an outfit look 10x chicer and put together. Not to mention, they give the illusion of a longer leg, which is always a plus. This style is perfect for everyday wear.

2. Wide Cut/ Flare

This isn’t the same as the seventies bell-bottom jeans that you may be thinking about. The new wide cut and flare style is more refined with a hint of that seventies flare. This is another style that looks great on everyone. Look for a pair that is more fitted around the thighs and looser in the calf area for the most flattering fit.

3. Skinny

I know what the kids are saying, skinny is out but I don't care what the debates say on Tik Tok, I will settle this debate once and for all. Skinny jeans are always in, no matter how many 20-year-olds say differently. Skinny jeans are such a timeless staple piece to have. Add a pair of black skinny jeans to your wardrobe for the days you want to add a little bit of sleekness to your outfit.

4. Relaxed Boyfriend

This style is another fan favorite. The shape and distressing of the denim add a fun hint of streetwear without sacrificing the refinement of your outfit. The boyfriend style always seems to stay fashionable no matter the season. Try a white ripped pair for the spring or a darker wash for nights out.

5. Cropped

Cropped jeans are always a must-have. Nothing screams spring more than exposed ankles! Cropped jeans are super flattering on petite women but also on any height. They’re perfect for those transitional days when jeans are a must, but you still want to look "springy." When looking for the perfect pair of cropped jeans, make sure they hit right above the ankle to avoid an awkward length.

Finally, we've made it to the ultimate piece that all women must have for the summer. If someone told me they didn’t have a pair of cut-off denim shorts, I would be shocked and ask, ‘how do you make it through the summer?’ They are a necessity! Invest in a few pairs because once you find the right ones, they're all you're going to be wearing this summer. Not to mention they will never be passé. Get a mid-rise or high-rise pair that's loose around the thighs for the best fit.
