Who doesn’t love an unexpected package full of clothes showing up on their doorstep after a never-ending day? Exactly. I saw the big box with the Nell sticker patiently waiting for me on my front porch. Finally! Something to brighten up a day that had been filled with monotonous tasks and caffeine fatigue. I practically opened the box before I made it through the door. I bet you’re wondering what fabulous pieces were in the box by now. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you. Actually, I’ll do even better and show you, so you can fangirl over the pieces as much as I did.
I started with the Emerson Fry Denim Layering Jacket. First impression; I’m in love. The denim gives the jacket a nice structure to add dimension to any outfit, but not too much to where it feels stiff. I styled it with a chunky cream turtleneck and white jeans. Can you tell I’m ready for spring? I love how versatile this piece is. You could also style this with light wash jeans and a lighter weight sweater or top underneath. Or add a leather waist belt to create a different silhouette.
Up next is the Emerson Fry Poet Blouse. This blouse is light-weight with a button up front and close tie neckline. I styled this blouse with white jeans for a fresh feel. You could also take this blouse and go a tad more casual by pairing it with straight jeans. My favorite thing about this blouse is the easy-breezy fit.
When I tell you I’m obsessed with the Citizens of Humanity Lou Lou Fleece Romper, I mean full on. I-want-to-wear-this-everyday-everywhere type of obsessed! I’m a huge fan of rompers because I love being able to wake up and step right into a stylish outfit, thus avoiding the routine frenzy of emptying my closet onto my bed in an attempt to find the right outfit. This romper is a piece you could live in. It's comfy, but you still look cute and fashionable. It could be styled with sneakers or sandals for a relaxed look. Oh, and don’t forget a summery tote to pull it all together!
You can never have enough basics but this Emerson Fry Edie Top is far from basic. The fabric is a rayon and nylon mix that feels light and smooth. This white mock neck has a great structure, and it will quickly become the only white mock neck you’ll want to be wearing. I styled it with a pair of ripped AGOLDE jeans for a relaxed yet chic look. This is definitely a great piece to use for layering as well.
The next outfit change was into the Emerson Fry Cozy Midi Crewneck Dress. The tencel and french terry cotton material is so comfy. It has slits on the side, which I loved. Oh, but let's not forget the best part—the pockets! Once you get a dress with pockets you’ll never go back. This dress is amazing on its own, as well as with a waist belt to add more shape. I styled it with black boots and the Cleobella Giselle Fanny. Let me tell you, I have a new outlook on fanny packs after wearing this piece. It really elevated the look and doubled as a convenient purse. As a chronic loser of bags, I will definitely be adding this as a staple item.
I finally got to the bottom of the box and was met with this fun and exciting piece—the Sequined Shoulder Pad Top by Pretty Follies. What a perfect piece for the grand finale! Just the right amount of sparkle to light up your night. The lovely champagne-blush color plays nicely with the shine of the sequins. I styled it with wide-cut beige pants, but black or white pants would also compliment the top well. Pair this outfit with simple thin heels and an understated clutch, and you’ll be ready to dazzle!
Try-on hauls are the equivalent of grown up dress-up, and I am here for it! These outfits are getting me excited for the Spring!
