There are so many amazing brands out there that some people may not have stumbled upon yet. We want to highlight some brands for you that we think are simply amazing. This week we will be looking at the eye-catching brand FARM Rio.
FARM Rio was founded in 1997 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by Katia Barros and Marcello Bastos. They started at a local independent fashion market called Babilonia Feira Hype, where they took their first risk of launching their clothing line. The risk paid off because now FARM Rio is Brazil’s most recognized brand and is quickly becoming an international favorite.
The brand formed with the initiative to create an enlightened cultural movement. The company has always focused on making pieces that encapsulate good energy and the existence of happiness in every piece of clothing. They use prints and patterns that are representative of local cultures to keep Brazilian traditions alive.

Not only does FARM Rio prioritize their culture, they also emphasize attention to detail. You can see from their intricate beading and stitch-work that each piece is made with the utmost effort. They want their customers to have an emotional reaction/attachment to the colors, prints, and details of each piece of clothing.
Nature has been one of the biggest inspirations to the FARM Rio brand since the beginning. They believe that we all have a duty to protect nature and give back to the environment. Since they feel so strongly about this, they have partnered with One Tree Planted to help reforest the Amazon rainforest. For each purchase on their website, in-store, or at other authorized retailers, they will donate the dollar amount equivalent to one tree to be planted. Up until November 2021, they have donated 659,487 trees.
